This website is a growing one. It is dedicated to the life, and the lives of those he influenced,  The son of immigrant parents, Herb took advantage of the plentiful opportunities that the thriving community of Buffalo, NY offered its young residents.

Before his untimely death in 1986 at the New York Empire State Games (Buffalo) which he co-founded, Herb had a long career of volunteerism. He loved Buffalo, its traditions and its generous people. Wherever he travelled be they Local, State, National or International Sporting events, Herb was extrememly proud to be an "unofficial" ambassador for the City of Buffalo and was extremely proud of being called a Buffalonian..

Most of the documents and photos were scanned from his scrapbooks reflecting his years of service to the local, national and international athletic community after his formative years at Fosdick-Masten HS, Florida HS, Cornell University, US Forest Service and the United States Navy.
